TTG – Travel industry news

The operator said the new-look portal would continue to evolve over time with the addition of new training content corresponding to new destinations, tours, programmes, experiences, touring styles and brochures.

The Matrix, meanwhile, puts key “need to know” facts and figures across all Wendy Wu Tours destinations at agents’ fingertips, and aims to link destinations and countries with supporting tours.

Once agents have completed all Wuniversity training modules, they will be awarded Wendy Wu Tours Specialist Agent certification.

Other information available from the portal include product background, and destination and country highlights, as well as details of agent fams, educationals and training programmes.

Gary King, Wendy Wu Tours head of trade sales, said: “We have a fantastic relationship with the trade, who have supported and stuck by us over the last two years.

“Now, with international travel returning to normal, we want to give our agents all the knowledge and tools to equip them with the passion and confidence to both attract and retain customers in the touring sector, helping their businesses to grow, and give them the confidence to offer the best Wendy Wu tour to their clients.

“Our fully supported and interactive agents’ website, encompassing our new-look Wuniversity programme and completely new Matrix tool, offers all agents and homeworkers alike a one-stop shop to find everything they need to know and learn through a few easy clicks.”

King added: “Wuniversity is a live system and will be reviewed and refreshed as part of our ongoing development and that of our agents. As new destinations, tours and brochures are added to the portfolio, we will add associated and respective training modules to Wuniversity to help agents increase sales and grow business.”
